Alejandro's music is an amazing combination of powerfully emotional vocals and fast, intricate acoustic guitar. He can create so much music with just those two instruments. It’s almost hard believe even while you’re watching it happen on a live video. It seems like he is a self-taught guitarist, but he has an endless well of passion and creativity. Each one of his songs sounds so different from the last. He is constantly breaking through to new ideas, new musical worlds. He opens new doors and walks through them. He blazes his own paths. But even when he’s busting out a furious flurry of notes, you get a real sense of humility and authenticity.
I first heard about him from my parents. They watch American Idol. He was a runner-up on that show in 2019. He is a mesmerizing performer with a musical mind that just explodes with creativity. He is humble and hard-working. He listens to all different kinds of music. He grew up listening to classical music, and in some ways, he is a one-man orchestra but with a bend toward pop-music styles. His fingers blaze over the fretboard so fast you almost expect them burst into flame, but then he'll suddently break it down into a tight groove or a majestically beautiful soundscape that just floats away like a cloud. Such a beautiful and soulful guitarists and singer. I wonder what he’s gonna do next.
HERE is a live session from Paste Studio that I love listening to.
